We're huge advocates of using video and telemetry data to improve driver performance and we've written several guides in our blog about it. If you're looking for an easy way to get data overlays on your video recordings, consider Harry's Laptimer for both iPhone and Android. If you want a very low-cost camera, grab an old iPhone 4S and get yourself a mount (like the Optrix XD4) and you have a top quality camera that's wifi and bluetooth enabled.  We have a few of the old Optrix XD 4 cases in stock but you can also find them on ebay. If you want a good alternative to the GoPro camera, take a look at the WASPcam. The best place to position the camera is between the driver and passenger, mounted to either a harness bar or roll bar. For solo driver's, Cravenspeed offers a passenger side headrest mount that works with BMW or MINI. To show and learn the layout of the track, mount the camera behind the interior mirror on the right side using a suction cup mount. We do not recommend mounting cameras to the exterior of the car.
